Forum Currency installed Options

Some people get confused over this settings. Basically, Prefix is what is shown before the number, and suffix is what is shown after the number.

Eg. Prefix of '$' and suffix of ' credits' would mean '$100 credits' ;)

I voted for Coins. It resembles most RPGs where the currency is gold ;)

It seems as of before this post only you have money :D


You (or someone else) might want to relook the items, such as:
Random Money  Get a random amount of money, between -190 and 190!  Price: 3600.00 <-- Unless it's re-useable (such as everyday)
Add 100 to Post Count  Increase your Post Count by 100!  Price: 2000.00 <-- Cap for a post is 1000, so two posts = 102 posts? Maybe put the price at 150k or 200k...

And the giving money (not so much items) could potentially cause people to have multiple accounts, so it should be disabled.

Edit: This is what I think of the items in value (from a more active board)
(worth most to least)
Change your own username/display name (Difference?)
Decrease someone else's post count (but 100 is a bit harsh at the current forum activity...)
Change someone elses title
Change your own title
Increasing karma
Increasing login time.

The other items depend, such as the random money as stated above, and adding to your post count, also as stated above ;)

Edit again: When you click "view inventory", it gives you an error. I can't seem to get it to work by using the URL rather than the viewing inventory page, so you're on your own :P

Great idea. however, I woudn't be pleased if someone changed my display name. I would introduce a punishment: first time caught=>warning, second time=>-500 credits? You can also punish for rude language.

You can't change someone else's display name, only their title.


About the people spamming for money, the main point of the shop (usually) is to increase forum activity, which is very low atm. There's nothing wrong with people posting 10 messages in a day, as long as they aren't all one-liners (on my old forum I posted an average of 70 posts a day, sometimes up to 150). If all of a person's messages are extremely short, like "I agree", "ya", "ok :P", then there would be a penalty, like send them to negative 20,000 credits. On my old forum, if someone didn't like you they could cause you to lose 50 points for a cost of around 100, but the average post gave you 2 points.
